Kyiv Election Commission Registers Katerynchuk For Kyiv Mayor
Kyiv city territorial election commission has registered Verkhovna Rada deputy of the Our Ukraine People's Self-Defense Bloc faction Mykola Katerynchuk, Verkhovna Rada deputy of the Party of Regions Vasyl Horbal and other 12 candidates for the post of Kyiv city mayor.
The decisions on their registration were taken by the commission at its meeting.
In particular, the territorial election commission registered Katerynchuk as self-nominee, Horbal from the city organization of the Party of Regions.
Besides, the commission registered self-nominated Mykola Panteliuk, Yevhen Zhovtiak, Yaroslav Misiats, Vasyl Yariomenko, Oleksandr Cherniavskyi and Volodymyr Petrenko-board chairman of Kyivmetrobud company, Volodymyr Dobrosiuk, Volodymyr Hoshovskyi, Oleh Vovchenko and Vadym Morysenko.
Oleksandr Kostiuk was registered as the candidate for Kyiv city mayor from the city organization of the All-Ukrainian Ecology and Social Protection Party.
Thus, as at April 15, the commission registered 41 candidates.
As Ukrainian News earlier reported, on April 14, the commission refused to register Katerynchuk as a candidate for the post of Kyiv city mayor.
The reason was inappropriately filled documents.
The Verkhovna Rada scheduled early Kyiv city council and mayoral elections for May 25.
