“Such essential falling of electoral tastes for Yanukovych actually means destruction of monopoly of the Party of Regions in Donetsk, Lugansk, the Crimea and other southeast areas.

 

As it is known, the Party of Regions has complete powers in ten regions of Ukraine - from Kharkiv to the Crimea. Mayors of the cities and rural chairmen, local councils, governors, courts, the public prosecutor offices, factories, plants, markets - all formal and informal life here is supervised by the regionals. However people have not seen any obvious positive changes during Yanukovych's colleagues rule here. On the contrary, the local economy remained outdated », - Mykola Katerynchuk underlined.
