The end of presidential election marked itself the beginning of a new stage in the history of the state building of Ukraine which does not have anything in common with the constitutional basis of executive power formation. The Parliament accepted the unprecedented law which opened a semi-legitimate way for the new government creation. The most impressing in this situation is participation in this process of the current president who admitted formation of the executive power in an anti-constitutional way. Such first steps of the Party of Regions in the power even approximately have not anything in common with the Constitution of Ukraine, the current legislation, without speaking already even about the European practice of state building.

 

The European party of Ukraine declares that considering similar methods of decision-making, taking into account the proclaimed ideological principles of the political activity, we cannot stand aside of anti-constitutional processes which occur in the state, and to remain the indifferent observer. We consider it our duty to the adherents and all who follows the European values of democracy as the basic backgrounds for the states in development, to declare transition in opposition to the power which is formed by the Party of Regions led by Victor Yanukovych in an unconstitutional way. At the same time on our deep belief opposition will be strong exceptionally in the case of its capability to unite in the aspirations and intentions.

 

We believe that with this public position we can join those who are really concerned with the future of Ukraine as a sovereign, independent, European state. In all ways accessible to us we will protect those democratic values gained by Ukraine during the years of independence which have made Ukraine known not only in Europe, but also far behind its borders.

 

The European party of Ukraine declares that from the moment of formation of the so-called new parliamentary coalition it will apply forces to prove not legitimacy of its existence in a judicial order.
