Purpose: to mark the existent problem of violence above children and gender equality in Ukraine, and necessity of decision of these problems.

 

Actuality: Problem of violence above children in Ukraine extraordinarily actual. On the generalized information after 2008 in Ukraine about 90 thousand of appeals are officially registered on questions legal cruelty with children. From data of Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine for cruelty with children there are over 80 thousands of families on an account in the organs of internal affairs, for non-fulfillment of paternal duties attracted more than 8 thousands of parents.

 

 

Regardless of what form violence in course of time become all crueler. Most widespread in domestic relations is psychological violence: rudeness (in 48% families), humiliation each other (14%families), and also physical violence, in particular is beating (6%).

 

 

In relation to the question of gender equality, does jure avouch for the current legislation of de men and women of Ukraine levels of right and possibility, but as far as they really help women to feel free and even in a political, cultural, social, economic sphere, in employment and in everyday life?

 

 

On an example, only women get possibility to combine labor with maternity. Legislatively men are deprived such possibility. Such approach is characteristic illustration of the formal understanding of principle of gender equality.

 

 

Basic woman's problems are home violence, prostitution and trading in women, drug addiction, absence of successive public policy, in this sphere. The special sharpness was purchased by the problem of sexual encroachments which are considered a norm as between leaders-men and by inferiors-women.

 

Therefore raising of these problems is a necessity in our society, in particular among young people, as exactly children and young people are the future of Ukraine, and from that, what values we will inoculate children and young people, development of our society, its democratic, depends.

 

Task of a project:

 1.     To mark the existent problem of violence above children and gender equality in Ukraine 

2.      To promulgate the results of project of Council of Europe from strengthening and defense of rights for women and children in Ukraine, and also work in this sphere of other oversea organizations and Ministry of family, young people and sport.

3.      To support development of rhetorical capabilities of children, those analytical thought 

4.      To support development of debate motion among schoolboys

5.      To reward the best debate commands at the head with a trainer the best judge, the best speaker, by gifts

 

 The Debate tournament devoted the day of acceptance of Ukraine to Council of Europe, for two age-dependent groups: 1. 14-15 years (schoolboys); 2. 17-18 years (students).  A theme of tournament is for a junior age-dependent group: «In Ukraine it is necessary to promote protecting of children from violence». A theme of tournament is for a senior age-dependent group: «In Ukraine it is needed to provide gender equality». A command must consist of three persons. A trainer must accompany the command of junior age-dependent group. On a tournament it will be selected 8 the best debate commands among schoolboys and 8 commands among students, by away them questionnaire

 

A tournament will be conducted in two rounds – semifinal and finale. Will make the judicial assembly of tournament:

 1.     Students which are included in university debate clubs in Kyiv

2.      Trainers which accompany school commands

3.      Representatives of the Kiev city organization of The All-Ukrainian Youth NGO «Youth European Movement»

A debate tournament will be after the political format of Charles Popper.

 

On a tournament will be invited:  members of The All-Ukrainian Youth NGO Youth European Movement, members of the Council of Europe, member of UNISEF, members of Ministry of family, young people and sport, mass Medias

 

Expected results: 

1.      Raising of problem of gender equality and violence above children in Ukraine 

2.      Illumination of this problem in MASS-MEDIA

3.      Stimulation of children and young people to development of them rhetorical capabilities

 4.     Stimulation of development of debate motion among schoolboys and students

 5.     Development of democratic and moral values of young people and children, and also to inform them about the possible methods of prevention of violence
