The Project «I love Ukraine»
This project was initiated by the Zakarpatska Regional Organization of the All-Ukrainian NGO Youth European Movement. It was in February, 2009.
The main project’s goal was to unite Ukrainians around a national idea – the mighty and prosperous Ukraine and the European values, traditions - love and respect to Motherland and its people.
In the framework of the project the following events were held:
1) a meeting with the students of the Law faculty of Zakarpatskiy State University and the students of Economic faculty of Uzhgorod National University with the purpose of involving young people into active voice for public life of Ukraine.
2) the leaders of the Zakarpatska Regional Organization of the NGO Youth European Movement presented to the inhabitants of the city the project “The Brightest Star of Europe”, with the purpose to remind them that Ukraine is a democratic state on the Europe’s map deserving to become the member of the European Union and “The Brightest Star of Europe”.
3) on March 8, 2009 leaders and activists of the Zakarpatska Regional Organization of the NGO Youth European Movement congratulated Uzhgorod women with the holiday of spring, beauty and love under the slogan “Our women – the most charming in Europe”.
4) on March 30, 2009 within the framework of the Project «I Love Ukraine» leaders and activists of the Zakarpatska Regional Organization of the NGO Youth European Movement visited Chinadiivskiy orphanage and distributed presents to the children. All of them got gifts and sweets. A pleasant surprise expected also for them: a Merry Clown entertained them and held different games and competitions. This seemed to be the happiest day in children’s lives being expressed with smiles and gladness.
5) on March 9, 2009 the leaders and activists of the Zakarpatska Regional Organization of the NGO Youth European Movement celebrated the 195-th birthday anniversary of the famous Ukrainian poet Taras Shevchenko.
During the event many interesting facts from the poet’s life were told and after the solemn part the flowers to Taras Shevchenko monument were put by the participants.
